Women's Seminar

We had a women's all day seminar on Saturday, February 14th, titled, "God's Everlasting Love". How appropriate for the day! What was even more encouraging was how it all happened. You see, every year, a group of women come from the states and hold various conferences throughout Russia for the women. This year, because of the financial crisis, there was a question of whether they would make it out to this neck of the woods. We secured a location (about a two minute walk from our place) and were waiting further instructions. About a month before, we found out that the ladies were unable to make it this far this year. So through prayer, we realized that we were to go ahead with the one-day seminar and invite the church from Omsk to come join us.

Four ladies from our church taught on different themes of love:

(1) God's love for us (Ania)

(2) Our love for God (Olga - on the right)



(3) Loving one another (Tanya)


and (4) Love for your family (Masha).



We also had Evetta help us make cards and picture frames for our husbands.






Of course, it would not have been complete without some coffee breaks
and a chicken-wrap lunch.


In the end we were able to take communion together with praise/worship songs
