So it has been ten days since my last post and we have all taken a turn down the road of infections. There is a saying here in Russia, "If you don't want to be sick, don't go to the doctor". After our last visit to the doctor (see last post), Pasha came down with some type of viral infection. He still hasn't made a trip to any of the 5 doctors we are supposed to visit. And it is a good thing. Here is the rundown:
The other three went to the surgeon and they found that Kiana has a hernia (umbilical) and needs to have an operation. So we are in the process of getting ready for that one. She goes in June 8th and hopefully will not have to stay long in the hospital. I can hear some of you already - "But isn't that an out-patient procedure?" Yes, in other parts of the world. Here it requires a hospital stay.
When we went to the opthomologist, they think Misha is far-sighted after they put some drops in his eyes. On the second attempt, he proclaims that he cannot see out of one eye - that it is all dark - just to get out of doing the eye test. He is our creative one. So there is a third visit scheduled, but now we have to wait for him to get over his cold. By the way, he sees fine. He can spot a candy bar buried three rows deep on the top shelf that I need to stand on a stool to get to.
At the ENT, they said that Kiana and David are not breathing properly and need to do some breathing exercises as well as do a nose spray once a day to clear up whatever blockage is contributing to their breathing problem. The doctor said that this will also help with David's asthma. Oh, and when we all get over our colds, we have to make appointments with the allergist and the asthma clinic. I guess that will be after Kiana's operation.
We still haven't made it to the orthopedic and to be honest, don't really want to. It is scheduled for the first week in June and if they are over their colds, then we'll go. If not, I don't mind postponing doctors visits for a long while!
So that is the update on us. My hubby is also fighting a cold. I'm just waiting my turn. Have a blessed day!
